Production technologies for solar photovoltaics beyond the state-of-the-art (EUPI-PV Partnership)
BATTERIES and ENERGY · HORIZON-IA · Up to TRL 7 · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds projects that develop next generation solar photovoltaic cells and modules together with the production equipment and pilot lines needed to manufacture them at scale. The goal is to push cell and module efficiency beyond what is commercially available today while keeping reliability on par with existing products, and to prove a production process that is energy efficient, defect free and ready for multi megawatt scale manufacturing. Winning projects must also present a credible plan for commercialising and scaling the technology, including how it might access further funding such as the Innovation Fund.
solar energy · renewable energy · advanced manufacturing · sustainable materials · twin transition
Who wins this
This suits a consortium including PV technology developers and manufacturers working together to bring an innovative solar cell or module technology from lab result to a demonstrated, scalable production line.
