Demonstration of industrial excess/waste heat conversion to mechanical or electrical power
BATTERIES and ENERGY · HORIZON-IA · TRL 7 to 8 · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds demonstration projects that recover excess or waste heat from industrial processes and convert it into mechanical or electrical power. Projects must be tested at real industrial sites, be designed so the solution can be replicated across many factories in the same sector, and include open tools and business models for integrating this heat recovery into plant energy systems. Two grants are expected, with a combined budget of about 13.5 million euros.
energy efficiency · renewable energy · energy storage · smart grids · advanced manufacturing
Who wins this
A consortium involving industrial partners from energy intensive sectors and technology providers who can demonstrate a waste heat to power system at an operational industrial site and design it for replication across many plants in the same sector.
