Demonstration of solid biofuel supply and conversion to high efficiency CHP from fully sustainable regional value chains
ENERGY · HORIZON-IA · TRL 6 to 7 · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds large scale demonstration projects that show how locally sourced sustainable biomass residues and waste can be turned into solid biofuel and used in high efficiency combined heat and power plants of between 10 and 30 megawatts. The goal is to prove regional bioenergy value chains work economically, environmentally and socially, supplying flexible renewable power and heat to local industry while protecting biodiversity and soil carbon. Two projects will be funded with a combined budget of 13.5 million euros.
