Integrating circularity in LCA-based modelling frameworks for renovation of buildings (Built4People Partnership)
BATTERIES and ENERGY · HORIZON-IA · TRL 6 to 8 · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds research projects that develop better ways to measure the environmental impact of building renovations, specifically combining circularity strategies like reuse and recycling with full life cycle assessment. Projects must test their modelling framework on at least three real buildings in different European countries that have already applied ambitious circularity strategies aiming for net zero whole life carbon. The goal is to prove measurable reductions in materials, energy use and emissions while creating more robust assessment tools for the construction sector.
sustainable materials · circular economy · construction built environment · environmental monitoring · energy efficiency
Who wins this
This suits a consortium of research organisations, building sector experts and renovation project developers across multiple European countries who can apply an integrated circularity and life cycle assessment framework to real renovation projects already underway.
