What this scheme funds
This Italian government scheme gives companies a social security contribution exemption when they hire researchers on permanent contracts. It applies to firms that co-fund innovative PhD scholarships and then hire PhD holders (or similar research contract holders) permanently between 2024 and 2026. The relief covers social security contributions up to €7,500 per hired researcher, for a maximum of 24 months, funded by a national pot of €150 million.
