What this scheme funds
This is a state-backed guarantee fund that helps organisations get loans to protect, preserve and enhance cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible. It guarantees up to 80% of a loan, for up to 20 years and up to €2.5 million, making it easier for cultural bodies and businesses to secure financing from banks. Applicants pay a small annual fee plus a processing charge, and are assessed on their financial statements or business plan.
