Understanding the nature and the extent of the effects of PFAS on biodiversity and ecosystem services
Transformative change towards a nature-positive economy and society · HORIZON-RIA · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds research into how PFAS chemicals harm biodiversity and ecosystem services. Projects should run field and controlled studies to understand effects on species, populations and ecosystems, develop methods to value ecosystem service losses, and generate knowledge that policymakers can use for biodiversity protection, environmental protection and human health decisions. Two projects are expected to be funded, each forming part of a cluster that collaborates on dissemination, data management and policy engagement.
environmental monitoring · pollution control · biodiversity · water management · public health · climate adaptation
Who wins this
This call suits a research consortium with strong ecology, ecotoxicology and social science expertise that can combine field studies with ecosystem service valuation to inform PFAS related policy.
