    What this call funds

This call funds research into next generation hardware for virtual and extended reality, such as advanced headsets, haptic devices, sensors, wearables and brain computer interfaces that make virtual experiences feel more real by engaging all human senses. Projects should build and test integrated devices that are reliable, energy efficient and interoperable, demonstrating their value in real industrial or societal scenarios. The goal is to move these technologies from early validation to a working prototype stage.
