Large scale operational validation and upscaling of state-of-the-art (Generative) AI tools and models powering a next generation digital energy system
BATTERIES and ENERGY · HORIZON-IA · TRL 7 to 8 · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds large scale, real world testing of AI and generative AI tools for managing electricity grids, markets and consumer energy use. Projects should validate frugal, secure AI models on real demo sites and operational grids, integrate them with the digital spine of the energy system, and scale up edge and federated learning across the grid. The goal is a working, governed AI powered digital energy system ready for wider rollout.
artificial intelligence · smart grids · energy efficiency · cloud edge computing · renewable energy · digital twins
Who wins this
This suits a consortium of energy grid operators, AI technology providers and research organisations that already have a working AI system at TRL 7 and want to validate and scale it operationally across real grid and market environments.
