    What this call funds

This call funds large scale projects that develop and demonstrate wave and tidal energy technologies, moving from lab validated concepts to real sea demonstration. It covers innovation in devices, materials, mooring and connection systems, condition monitoring and manufacturing, with the goal of making ocean energy cheaper, more reliable and less harmful to the environment. A large part of the budget must be passed on to third parties such as startups, SMEs and research organisations through open calls, in addition to direct demonstration activities run by the main consortium.

    Who wins this

A well resourced consortium with proven experience managing large projects and third party funding schemes, capable of running both direct R&I activities and multiple demonstration campaigns for wave and tidal energy technology at sea.
