What this call funds
This call gives direct cash grants to small and medium companies working in renewable energy, specifically solar, offshore wind, and energy networks. It funds short projects of three to six months that take a solution from proof of concept to near market readiness. Money comes as financial support to third parties, with SMEs receiving between 10,000 and 60,000 euros depending on the strand and project maturity.

A small or medium enterprise based in the EU or an associated SMP/COSME country that is developing a photovoltaic, offshore wind, or energy network solution at proof of concept stage and can cofund part of the project privately.

- Up to EUR 60,000 per SME cumulatively across all RENEW-BOOSTER calls, with Strand A offering 10,000 euros at Step 1 and 50,000 euros at Step 2, and Strand B offering 10,000, 30,000 or 60,000 euros depending on project maturity, each requiring increasing private co-funding.

- Private co-funding is mandatory and increases with grant amount, SMEs may apply individually or in consortia of up to three for Strand B, and at least 10% of funded SMEs must come from countries other than Denmark, Norway, Poland, France, Bulgaria and Spain.
